I've always loved the Alien. I remember the first time I saw a still of the beast and feeling a real chill up the spine.
My intention in this piece was to capture the heavily piped and ribbed look of the critters in the first two movies. This is, I feel, one of the defining visual elements of the creature which was lost in the later movies as they designers made them look more organic than 'bio-mechanical'.
